If you are short on cash and don’t want to spend unnecessarily to upgrade to Windows 10: Microsoft has provided a free upgrade that originally exhausted in 2016 is still available to download.

The new version of Windows is only a few months away, it is advisable to upgrade to the latest available version to stand eligible for any upcoming updates.

While introducing Windows 10 in 2015, Microsoft showcased a nice gesture by providing free upgrade offer for Windows 7 and 8 users, till the month of July 2016. But back in 2017, it was reported by Microsoft that the free upgrade tool was still functional.

We tried it out in November 2020 and were able to upgrade a 2014 Lenovo Desktop as well as laptop from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. As of August 2021, people are still able to get the free upgrade and it’s working just fine for them as well.
