Top 10 iPhone Tips and Tricks

Tip 1: Save Battery Life using the Low Power Mode.

The Low Power Mode on iPhones helps conserve battery life by turning off features such as automatic downloads, background app refresh, and some visual effects. It also reduces the amount of power consumed by the processor, allowing the phone to be used for longer periods without charging. It is especially useful when you are in an area with limited access to charging outlets or traveling away from home and needing access to a charger. 

You can enable the Low Power Mode by going to the Settings app on your iPhone and tapping Battery. The battery status bar will be yellow when it is on. It will display a yellow battery icon with the battery percentage. The Low Power Mode will automatically turn off after your iPhone is charged 80% or more.  

Tip 2: Quickly Access Apps.

To quickly access apps on an iPhone, you can use the App Switcher. To open the App Switcher, double-click the Home button. You will then see a list of all the apps you have open. Tap the app you want to open, and it will open immediately. 

You can also access apps quickly by using Siri or adding them to your Dock. To add an app to the Dock, open it, then press and hold the icon until it jiggles. Tap the app icon on the Dock at the bottom of your screen and release. The app will now be available in the Dock for easy access.

Tip 3: Organize Photos and Videos using “Add a Caption.”

“Add a Caption” on iPhone is a feature that allows you to add text to photos and videos. It is accessible through the Photos app and will enable you to add descriptions and captions to any photo or video in your camera roll. To use the “Add a Caption” feature on iPhone, open the Photos app > select the photo > Tap the “Edit” button > Scroll down and select the “Add a Caption” option. Type in your caption and tap “Done.” Your caption will be added to the photo and can be seen by anyone who views it.   

Tip 4: Hide Photos using the Hidden feature.

The Hidden album on iPhone allows you to hide photos and videos from the Photos app’s Moments, Years, and Collections view. The photos and videos you hide will still be available in the Albums tab, but they won’t appear in the Moments, Years, or Collections views. To access the Hidden album, open the Photos app, tap on the Albums tab, and scroll down to the bottom. The Hidden album will be the last on the list.

Tip 7: Hide Unused Apps

You can hide unused apps on your iPhone. To do this, go to the home screen, tap and hold on the app you want to hide, and select the “Remove App” option. This will make the app disappear from your home screen. To unhide it, go to the App Store, find the app, and tap the “Get” button to re-download it.    

Tip 8: Set Up Family Sharing.

The Family Sharing feature on the iPhone allows up to six family members to share purchases, subscriptions, and iCloud storage. With Family Sharing, family members can share photos, calendars, and reminders, as well as music, movies, TV shows, and books from the iTunes Store and App Store. Tip 9: Use 3D Touch.

Music Timer Setup allows users to set a timer for their music to stop playing after a certain amount of time. The timer can be set for up to 24 hours and customized to turn off after a specific song or playlist. It is a useful feature for those who want to listen to music for a set amount of time without turning it off manually.
