Arizona Cardinals star Kyler Murray signs a $230.5 million contract and becomes the NFL's wealthiest quarterbacks.
Kyler Murray has consented to a $230.5 million, five-year deal. This places him among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.
The contract includes a guaranteed injury payment of $160 million. Upon signing the contract, Murray will receive a completely guaranteed $105 million.
Murray's contract has an average annual value of $46.1 million, which is the second-highest in the NFL.
Watson's $230 million fully guaranteed contract with the Browns is the only one in NFL history to have more guaranteed money than Murray's.
Murray's five-year agreement was officially announced by the Cardinals on Thursday, but the terms were not made public.
Steve Keim, the general manager of the Cardinals, and Erik Burkhardt, Murray's agent, worked on the agreement until Wednesday night.
And after months of continued negotiations they sealed the arrangement on Thursday morning, according to Schefter.
