Charles Leclerc wins Austrian Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc defeated Max Verstappen to win the Austrian GP on Sunday

Leclerc wins from 1.532 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen

To reclaim his first position since the Australian GP in April, the Ferrari driver had to pass Red Bull's Max Verstappen three times.

The 24-year-old's run of form, in which he failed to finish in the previous five races, comes to an end with the triumph.

Leclerc emphasised how significant the victory was to him following the race.

"It was a really good race," a relieved Leclerc said. "The pace was there, at the beginning, we had some good fights with Max and the end was incredibly difficult.

I had this problem with the throttle and it would get stuck at 20 or 30% throttle in the low speed, so it was very tricky but we managed to make it stick until the end and I'm so, so happy.
